Viva Farms
Viva Farms empowers aspiring and limited-resource farmers by providing bilingual training in holistic organic farming practices, as well as access to land, infrastructure, equipment, marketing and capital.

Growing Veterans
Growing Veterans was founded by a combat wounded USMC veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, Christopher Brown, and a former mental health counselor turned farmer, Christina Wolf. Together, they agreed using the farm as the catalyst for human connection and veteran reintegration could have a powerful impact on the health and well being of not only vets returning home, but the world.

Common Threads Farm
Common Threads is a Bellingham, WA based non-profit that connects kids to healthy food in the garden, in the kitchen, and at the table.

Christ the King Food Share and Farm
Christ the King food share and farm is a faith-based community farm whose mission is to use the vehicle of food to bring hope to hungry people in Whatcom County and help volunteers become more like Jesus.

Northwest Agriculture Business Center
Established in 2006, Northwest Agriculture Business Center (NABC) provides northwest Washington farmers with the skills and the resources required to profitably and efficiently supply their products to consumers, retailers, wholesalers, food-service operators, and food manufacturers. Its main office is located in Mount Vernon in the heart of Washington’s Skagit Valley farm region.

WSU Mount Vernon Northwestern Washington Research & Extension Center
WSU Mount Vernon Northwestern Washington Research & Extension Center is one of four WSU Research Centers operated by the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) housing nine research programs, extension outreach, and research affiliates. The research center works to solve plant-related problems, and develop cost-effective and environmentally-sound plant production practices based directly on results from experimental field, greenhouse and laboratory research trials.

Salish Seed Guild
Salish Seed Guild’s mission is to honor the biodiversity of seeds grown in our local food shed and to encourage the care taking of genetic seed diversity for future generations.

Tierra y Libertad
Tierra y Libertad is a farmworkers cooperative that is creating a training space to teach others about agroecology and traditional farming practices from Oaxaca, Mexico.
The food grown there is eaten at the tables of the farmworker families working the land. The excess is shared with other families who, for whatever reason, cannot grow their own or do not have access to organic produce. Depending on the quantity of produce, some of it may be sold to help pay for garden expenses.

We Grow Garden
The We Grow Garden is a partnership between Washington State University Extension, WSU Whatcom County Master Gardener Program, Northwest Youth Services, and City of Bellingham Parks & Recreation Department. Their mission is to facilitate community development through adult and youth education, low-barrier vocational programs, and food security.

Animals as Natural Therapy
Animals as natural therapy is driven by the mission to improve mental and behavioral health through animal-guided programs and mentorship, with special attention to youth and veterans in Northwest Washington.

The Chuckanut Center
The Chuckanut Center works to grow food, skills and a resilient community by providing a place where community members come together to grow with one another through the sharing of urban homesteading skills, gardening, cooking and preserving skills and personal growth through the arts. In this way, individuals become more self-reliant while also building a network of support with neighbors, within neighborhoods and throughout the community.

Farm to Farmer
Farm to Farmer is a program of Washington Farmland Trust that aims to help farmers find land, build capacity, access resources, and ultimately, thrive as business owners and stewards of the land.
